 A fire destroyed a Southside townhome friday. Jacksonville Fire & Rescue says the blaze started around noon. Firefighters say most of the flames were on the second level of 4321 Pathwood Way, in a neighborhood called "The Junction" on Losco Rd. near Old St. Augustine Rd. in Mandarin.JFRD has not ruled out an explosion. Investigators are not sure if the possible explosion caused the fire or was the result of it.No one was in the unit at the time of the fire. Two adjacent units were also damaged. One was empty. A couple and their pets were in the other. A passerby stopped to get them out, and no one was injured.
